Case Manager

The ideal candidate will have some direct service experience in the mental health field; however, we are always interested in training the right candidates. The ideal candidate will have some direct service experience in the mental health field; and must carry either a MHRT/CP or MHRT/C certification. Since this is a community-based position, travel is required, as is a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and insurance. Good communication, organization skills, time management and customer service skills are required. DHHS, criminal history and DMV history checks are conducted, and are a condition of employment.

Duties will include but are not limited to

  • Completing Comprehensive Psychosocial Assessments with new and established clients to assess client treatment needs, strengths and barriers
  • Developing an Individualized Service Plan (ISP) with the client, based on the treatment needs identified in the Comprehensive Assessment
  • Identification of and linking clients to community resources that are necessary to support the ISP plan and the client’s recovery goals
  • Coordinating referrals for treatment or services for the client based on his/her goals as identified in the ISP plan
  • Advocating on behalf of the client in situations in which the client is unable to fully advocate for himself/herself
  • Assisting the client to develop the skills to advocate for himself/herself as needed with providers, resource contacts, natural supports, and community members
  • Assisting the client with developing skills related to self-assessment of needs; independent access of community based resources; development and maintenance of natural supports and related resources
  • Ensuring continuity of client care and coordination of services through direct contact with other providers as necessary
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of treatment services, resources and client engagement with ISP plan goals, and assisting client to make modifications to treatment plan as needed
  • Providing information, education and problem-solving to the client related to issues he/she identifies as barriers to recovery

Information Technology

Reporting directly to the President/Executive Director of the corporation, the Information Technology candidate will be an organized and efficient individual, responsible for the planning, organization, and execution of all information technology concerns within the corporation. The candidate must have a demonstrated knowledge of computer software, hardware, operating systems, and networks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Fulfill Assigned Duties

  • Complete all tasks assigned by the President of Break of Day Mental Health Group, Inc. in a timely manner.
  • Analyze business needs presented by executive staff and recommend technical solutions.
  • Assume the duties of other roles such as Active Directory Administrator, Domain Administrator, Software Developer, and Information Technology Specialist as needed. Assume the duties of any Information Technology role, as needed.
  • Prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve all information technology support issues in a timely manner.

Support All Staff Members

  • Isolate and resolve all technological issues and concerns reported by any employee within the corporation.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for all company software and hardware.

Manage IT Equipment

  • Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery, backup procedures, information security and inventory control systems.
  • Install hardware and peripheral components for company equipment
  • Install software updates on company devices, computers, and servers as needed to ensure smooth operation

Support Policy

  • Maintain quality service by enforcing Information Technology standards and policies.
  • Maintain corporation’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans
  • Direct research in emerging technology by studying corporate goals, strategies, practices, and user projects
  • Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating outcomes, identifying problems, and anticipating organizational requirements

Outside Vendors

  • Maintain communications with all outside vendors and managed service providers (MSP’s).
  • Analyze paid Information Technology bills on a regular basis, for minimizing monthly costs

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in supervision as required.
  • Attends meetings as requested by management.
  • Attends appropriate trainings as requested by management.
  • Regularly scheduled meeting with management to review administrative functioning and ensure smooth operation of agency.
  • Participation in special projects as directed by the Executive Director.
  • Be familiar with BODMHG policies and procedures.

Daily Living Skills Services

We currently have full time and part time DLS position openings on both our South team, covering from the Topsham to the Damariscotta area, as well as our North Team, covering from Waldoboro to Belfast. The ideal candidate will have some direct service experience in the mental health field; however, we are always interested in training the right candidates. Since this is a community-based position, travel is required, as is a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and insurance. Good communication, organization skills, time management and customer service skills are required. DHHS, criminal history and DMV history checks are conducted, and are a condition of employment. This is an entry level position, but there are educational opportunities within the agency to offer room for professional growth as well as increased income!

This position provides direct support to adults with mental illness in the community and the consumers’ homes. We follow a person-centered psychosocial rehabilitation model in our work with consumers. DLS staff work side by side with clients to access community and social support resources, develop daily living skills such as personal care, budgeting, home maintenance and organization, daily routines, meal planning, emotional and physical self-care, and coping skill development. DLS workers help motivate and support clients to meet personal recovery goals by assisting to break down goals into smaller, manageable tasks and addressing these tasks one step at a time.
